Skylark OptiFlight · Flight compliance
Every flight planned, assessed and approved before it leaves the ground.
Skylark OptiFlight turns a planned drone flight into a CAP 722 aligned flight reference and risk assessment, then routes it through an approval workflow with separation of duties, so nobody approves their own flight.
How it works
Compliance built into the flight plan.
Most operators assess risk in documents written after the plan is made. Skylark makes the assessment part of the plan, so the record is complete, consistent and ready for audit.
Define the flight
Set the area, route, aircraft and operating category on the map, with route optimisation to shape an efficient path.
Generate the reference
Skylark produces the flight reference and risk assessment against the regulatory profile for the country you are flying in.
Separate the duties
The person who plans the flight cannot approve it. Every decision is recorded with who made it and when.
Regulatory profiles
One workflow, four regulators.
Skylark carries regulatory profiles for the UK, Saudi Arabia, Zambia and Nigeria. Operators working across borders use one way of working, while each assessment reflects the rules where the flight takes place.
Who it serves
- Commercial UAS operators who need a defensible record for every flight
- Accountable managers who sign off operations and answer for them
- Regulators and airspace authorities, through an oversight view now in development

What the pilot is building towards.
Skylark is in controlled release with invited operators. Pilot users help shape the next capabilities, which are designed and scheduled:
Live tracking
Approved flights followed in real time against their plan.
Audit ledger
A tamper-evident record of every plan, change and approval.
Multi-origin routing
Coordinated planning for operations launched from several sites.
Airspace oversight
A regulator view of activity in the airspace, extending towards urban air mobility.
